The Abington Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) submitted a proposal to the Board of Commissioners in February to ban plastic bags and polystyrene containers.
The EAC is now requesting feedback from local businesses regarding the proposal via a survey. You can reach out to the EAC at EAC@AbingtonPA.gov with any questions.

If Abington decides to move forward, it will join Upper Moreland Township (passed in July 2023), and Cheltenham Township, which passed their ban in April.
