Abington Township recently announced that Toll Brothers, a Fort Washington-based building company, has submitted a land development application for 711 Fox Chase Road, the former site of St. Basil’s Academy Catholic.

Toll Brothers, i.e. Toll Mid-Atlantic, L.P. Company, Inc., has been in communication with the Township about the property since 2021.

From the Township’s announcement:

As part of the land development application, the applicant will be going to the Planning Commission meeting on May 23, 2023 at 7:30 PM. A Conditional Use Hearing will be held on June 8, 2023 at 7:30 PM during the Board of Commissioners Working Session meeting. The Board of Commissioners will dictate the next steps in the process based on the Planning Commission’s decision and information provided at the public hearing.

The pandemic forced the 90-year-old all-girls high school in Jenkintown to shut down for good in the spring of 2021. The 29.98-acre campus and 73,901 square foot building are listed on RE/MAX’s website.
