A PECO gas main project on Wheatsheaf Lane between Old York and Woodland Roads and on Woodland Road between Wheatsheaf Lane and Highland Avenue in Abington Township is expected to begin on Monday, June 19.

PECO will be replacing the existing natural gas equipment with work hours from 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday.

To date, the project has consisted of pre-digging and spray painting to identify the locations of underground infrastructure.

The project is still expected to span two months until its completion. Nearby neighbors should receive and updated project memo.

According to the Township’s website, work was expected to begin April 17 and be completed in June.
