Abington Township is currently accepting letters of interest for filling the vacant seat of Ward 6 Commissioner.  

Eligible applicants must be a resident of the Ward for at least one (1) year continuously prior to the appointment and must be a registered voter in the Ward. Eligible applicants must not have been convicted or pled guilty or no contest to any felony charge within three (3) years of the appointment.

The Ward 6 seat had been occupied by Democrat Mike Thompson since 2017.
