The Abington Township Fire Marshal has issued a 30-day burn ban effective November 1.

The ban forbids the following activities:

Any recreational fire
Any bonfire
Any fireworks

The Pennsylvania Drought Task Force has placed Montgomery County under a Drought Watch. Cheltenham Township, Hatboro, and Lower Moreland Township have also issued temporary burn bans.
