The highest level a high school musician in Pennsylvania can achieve is earning a place in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) All-State Festival music ensembles. Five students from Abington Senior High School have earned that distinction.
Those students are:
- Charles Ford – All-State Jazz
- Jonathan Hilliard – All-State Jazz
- Mary Kate McKenzie – All-State Chorus
- Dahlia Ufberg – All-State Chorus
- Kaileb Kim – All-State Orchestra
They, as well as others from across the state, will perform at the annual PMEA All-State Festival at the Kalahari Resort in The Poconos, Pennsylvania April 8-9, 2022. There, nationally recognized conductors will direct the groups who rehearse for two days and conclude with a performance.
