The Abington School District announced today that it has been gifted $6,877 from The GIANT Company as part of the Feeding School Kids program.

“By rounding up at the register, customers have contributed to feeding ASD families in need, as all funds will be used to purchase GIANT gift cards to help cover the cost of their groceries,” the district said in a post.

The program has raised over $7.5 million over the past four years to support 171+ public school districts’ food programs. Money goes toward reducing meal debt, supporting backpack programs, supplying school pantries, and funding school garden initiatives.
