The Abington School District Board of School Directors has elected Dr. Melissa Mowry to serve as President and Mr. Yaasiyn Muhammad to serve as Vice President.

Dr. Mowry was previously the Vice President, elected to the Board in 2019, and Mr. Muhammad was a School Director who has served on the Board since 2021, school officials said.

Dr. Mowry replaces Mrs. Shameeka Browne, who had served as Board President since she was elected in 2019. Mrs. Browne will continue to serve on the Board as a School Director, officials said.
