A current BLOCS Board Member and longtime supporter of EITC, Savage serves on the organization’s Scholarship Committee, focusing on ensuring that students across Pennsylvania have access to need-based scholarships. As the Vice Chair, Savage will work collaboratively with BLOCS CEO Rob Delany and Board Chair Matt McFillin, Partner at KPMG, LLC, to fulfill BLOCS strategic growth while maintaining the organization’s tradition of service to children with financial need.

“We are thrilled to have Mike Savage step into the role of Vice Chair,” said Rob Delany, CEO of BLOCS. “He is a passionate advocate for education in our region and an invaluable member of our Board’ Scholarship Committee. His focus has always been on providing funding for the students who need it most. This appointment reinforces our commitment to providing strong stewardship to the families and donors we serve across the Commonwealth.”

Savage recently retired after more than three decades with PTR Baler and Compactor Company, one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of recycling and waste equipment, where he served as President/CEO since 2008. A dedicated supporter of education, Savage serves as Scholarship Committee Chair of the Environmental Education and Research Foundation (EREF) Board of Directors.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Villanova University and is active with his alma mater, currently serving as Capital Campaign Chair for the College of Professional Studies as part of the Espiritus Nova campaign. He is also active in the La Salle College High School community. Savage resides in Rydal, Pa.
