The Abington Township Police Department will host its first-ever Abington Triathlon on May 31, 2025.
According to their post, the event will include a pool swim in the Abington High School Natatorium, a bike ride through the Abington/Glenside Area, and arun on the Abington High School Cross Country Course.
Money raised by the triathlon will benefit the youth of Abington Township through the following community programs:
- Scholarships for Abington students, managed by the Abington Community Task Force (A.C.T.)
- The DARE program and Abington Police Explorers Post 2900 through Citizens and Police Together (C.A.P.T.)
- Free activities, life skills camp, and trips for members of the Abington Police Athletic League (PAL).
