The Abington Township Police Department is searching for the identity of a male suspect accused of committing an armed robbery at a CVS Pharmacy on Saturday.

Police said the incident took place around 7:26am at 2622 Jenkintown Road in the Glenside section of Abington Township.

According to today’s report, the suspect “approached a store employee, displayed a handgun, and forced the employee to provide access to the store’s office area. The suspect then removed currency from the safe and fled the business”, police said.

Witnesses described him as a middle-aged, light-skinned black male wearing a dark-colored hat with a white Nike logo, a blue hooded sweatshirt, olive green pants, white sneakers, a surgical mask and blue latex gloves.

He was last seen leaving the area in a dark-colored sedan of an unknown make/model, police said.
