Abington police searching for armed suspect who robbed a Lukoil on rollerblades

The Abington Township Police Department announced today that officers were dispatched to the Lukoil at 1945 Old York Road for an armed robbery which took place on Sunday, May 25 at roughly 7:30pm.

The suspect, who arrived and departed the store on rollerblades, was armed with a handgun and a knife in the front of his waistband, police said.

“He demanded all of the money from the register and threatened to shoot the employee if he did not comply,” police said.

The suspect was last seen skating south on Old York Road with the money from the register.
