A K9 from the Abington Township Police Department has been used during the hunt for Danelo Cavalcante, an escaped prisoner who was spotted on Monday night in Chester County’s South Coventry Township, about 20 miles north of his prison.
According to CNN, Cavalcante, 34, is a convicted killer who escaped nearly two weeks ago and is considered “armed and extremely dangerous” after he stole a rifle from the garage of a local homeowner, police said Tuesday.
From their article:
About 500 law enforcement officers – including the Pennsylvania State Police, FBI, ATF, and the US Marshals – are searching the area around the shooting, and police have set up a perimeter stretching several miles in each direction.
