Abington police are investigating a shooting that took place outside the Willow Grove Park Mall on Sunday, November 15th just before 6:00 p.m. One male was injured with what is believed to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

After it occurred, police believed the shooter left the area, but asked the public to stay away from the area as they investigated.

Tonight at approximately 5:50pm a shooting occurred in the area of the Willow Grove Park Mall. Abington Police responded and an adult male victim was transported to Abington-Jefferson Hospital with what appears to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound. At this point it is believed that the assailant has left the area and that the Willow Grove community is safe. However, it is an active investigation scene, so we ask that residents please stay away from the area.
