Abington Police Department disposes of 118 firearms

On June 9th, the Abington Police Department disposed of 118 firearms by taking them to be destroyed in a giant medal shredder at Fort Indiantown Gap. The Pennsylvania National Guard did the shredding.

Prior to their destruction, the firearms were in evidence after being collected through various crimes, suicides, and people turning guns into the police department. A court order was obtained to destroy the firearms.
