Abington police arrest man who shot juvenile female in Roslyn Park parking lot

The Abington Township Police Department announced today the arrest of Adam Soumahoro, 20, for shooting a juvenile female in the hand at Roslyn Park (2800 block of Susquehanna Road) on Wednesday, March 12 at approximately 11:06pm.

First aid was given to the victim before she was transported to Abington Jefferson Hospital.

According to the report, an investigation determined that the shooting was connected to a drug transaction which led officials to Soumahoro. A warrant was issued for his arrest, along with a search warrant for his residence.

On Monday, March 24 at approximately 12:45pm, the Abington Tactical Team, Patrol Division and detectives searched Soumahoro’s residence in the 2700 block of Jenkintown Road in Abington Township. Soumahoro complied with instructions to exit the property and was peacefully taken into custody, police said. A subsequent search of the home led to the recovery of a 9mm firearm.

Soumahoro is charged with multiple offenses, including Robbery (F1), Persons Not to Possess a Firearm (F1), Aggravated Assault (F1), Possession of an Instrument of Crime (M1), and Reckless Endangerment (M2), among other charges.

He was processed and is currently awaiting arraignment, police said.
