Abington petition calls for better road and footpath maintenance

The Reporter relayed that a petition signed by 500 Abington residents has issued a call to action.

The petition, submitted to the Township Manager and the Abington Board of Commissioners, claims that road and footpath maintenance have taken a backseat to other concerns.

Township manager Richard Manfredi disagreed with the petition’s assessment, and said that “the administration is confident … the issues brought to the attention of the township are being responded to.”

Abington Township is currently working on an online service request tool for residents, which can be found here.
