The Abington Police Department would like to remind area residents of its “Abington Safe T Zone” (Safe Transfer Zone) located in the Abington Township Police department lobby, which is open 24 hours, seven days a week and is under 24-hour videotaped surveillance, as is the parking lot.

The “Safe T Zone” provides a safe place for citizens to meet for transactions and transfers, especially when they are meeting strangers to buy or sell property.

Appointments are not necessary. The Department noted that weapons are not permitted in the “Safe T Zone”.
