The Abington Township Police Department has introduced their newest K9 team member, “Dude,” who recently graduated from Penn Vet Working Dog Center’s Narcotic Detector Scent Class.

Dude worked with Officer Tim Connelly during Penn Vet’s class.

“Dude (donated by Kellner Labradors) is named in honor of K9 Dude, handled by Cheryl Christy, who was not deployed after the attacks of 9/11 but played a critical role as a ‘control’ dog in our 9/11 research study,” a representative from Penn Vet Working Dog Center said.
