Abington native, former America’s Got Talent quarterfinalist and member of musical trio T-3, releases holiday EP and kicks off tour

T-3, a Philly-to-Broadway musical trio which includes an Abington native, has released a brand-new holiday EP, ‘FaLaLaLonely‘, and will kick off a tour, including a stop at Philadelphia’s City Winery on Friday, December 20, Metro Philly reported.

“Getting from Roslyn, PA where I grew up, and heading to Broadway and T-3 meant having a very supportive family,” Jim Hogan, the group’s tenor, said.

From his biography:

Jim Hogan is a New York City based actor, singer, and musician who is currently the standby for Buddy in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kimberly Akimbo. His Broadway national touring credits include Waitress, The Phantom of the Opera, and Spring Awakening. Jim has also performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras across the US and Canada. He trained at Penn State University’s BFA Musical Theater Program.

In August 2021, Hogan appeared on America’s Got Talent quarterfinal round.

According to Metro Philly’s story, the trio’s members met while singing in a Cape Cod all-vocal ensemble called the Hyannis Sound.

“Each of us had a foundation in a cappella and vocal music. When we learned how much the three of our voices blended well together, we knew we never wanted to lose the roots of tight harmony singing in what we’d put together going forward.

Hogan also noted that part of his hometown’s extended support system includes his “fantastic voice teacher” Peter Hilliard, music director at Abington Choral Club.

As of their major label debut last fall, the trio had 459k followers and 7.1 million likes on TikTok, 140k Instagram followers, and 41.9k YouTube subscribers.
