Abington native and L.A.-based actor Adam Shapiro was recently featured by The Philadelphia Inquirer for supplying the 95th Academy Awards with 4,000 Philly-style pretzels.

Shapiro opened Shappy Pretzel Co. in Los Angeles during the pandemic. He was approached by Jimmy Kimmel to bake and place a pretzel under attendees’ chairs, which he explains in this Youtube video:
