Abington man arrested after brandishing a firearm at a Bucks County movie theater

Esra Jesse Wallace, 42, of Abington Township was arrested by Warrington Township police on Friday, October 3 for brandishing a firearm at a Regal Cinema at 104 Easton Road.

According to the report, arriving officers spoke to several individuals who reported that another patron, later identified as Wallace, had cursed and told them to “shut up” during a movie. Wallace then reportedly brandished a firearm in his waistband following an argument, after which a manager approached Wallace.

“Wallace allegedly told the manager not to come any closer while grabbing his waistband,” police said. He then exited the theater followed by an employee, entered his vehicle and fled at a high rate of speed, nearly striking the employee.

Horsham police later stopped and detained Wallace on Horsham Road. Warrington police responded to take custody.

After refusing consent for a search of his vehicle, Wallace and his vehicle were transported to the Warrington Police Department where he was processed and arraigned with bail set at $50,000, or 10% cash.

Wallace was unable to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility, police said. A search warrant was later executed on Wallace’s vehicle. A handgun was recovered.

His charges are below:

  • (18) 5503 (A3) DISORDERLY CONDUCT (M3)
