Lucas Monroe, a graduate of Abington High School and a guard for the University of Pennsylvania’s men’s basketball team, recently announced that he has accepted an offer to spend his fifth and last year of athletic eligibility at Drexel University.

The Ivy League disallows graduate students from competing in NCAA athletics, and the transfer allows Monroe, whose father also played for Drexel, to play one more season.
