The Abington School District Board of School Directors during their regular meeting this week honored 20 high school students who have been identified as semifinalists, commended or special scholar students in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Of the 20 students, one is a semifinalist, 11 are commended, one is a special scholar, seven are National African American Recognition Program Scholars, one is a National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar, and one is a National Indigenous Recognition Program Scholar, the District said.
