The Abington Senior High School girls’ flag football team was crowned the Suburban One League champion after defeating North Penn 20-13 on Monday, May 19.

The Ghosts are 12-0 on the season and will play for the state championship on Saturday, May 31 at the NovaCare Center.

The win marks the third straight SOL championship for the program. They took down North Penn 24-19 in 2024 and beat North Penn 26-19 in 2023.

Next season will be their first competing in a PIAA state-sanctioned sport.
