Abington elementary students raise $2300 for California wildfire victims through student-designed T-shirt sales

The Abington School District shared that students from Copper Beech Elementary School raised more than $2,300 for the American Red Cross to benefit California wildfire victims.

A contest was held last fall where every classroom submitted a T-shirt design that represented kindness. The winning design by Ms. McGettigan’s kindergarten class reads: “CB Kind: CB Cares and You Should, Too!” Shirts were sold to students, families, and staff to raise funds.

A special check was presented to American Red Cross representative Ms. Lynn Cohen in late February.
