Abington Township police announced that Detective Don Lindenmuth helped reunite a Philadelphia family with their lost dog named Prada.
Police said staff at Hamilton Animal Hospital in Abington treated Prada, during which a microchip implanted inside the dog identified the owners. The family told Detective Lindenmuth that the miniature poodle was likely inside an Abington home after going missing from their yard last Friday.
“Unsure of how to proceed, they called Abington Detectives and got Detective Lindenmuth,” the department said. “Detective Lindenmuth immediately obtained the address of the man who had brought Prada in for treatment and drove out to the man’s Abington home.”
Detective Lindenmuth then took the dog to the police station and called the family who “drove immediately to APD detective division and were all smiles after being reunited with their cherished pet,” police said.
