Abington, Cheltenham, Jenkintown to host series of FY 2024 public budget meetings this month

Abington Township, Cheltenham Township and Jenkintown Borough will each host a series of Fiscal Year 2024 preliminary budget workshop meetings this month which are open to the public.

Abington Township

The FY 2024 Preliminary Proposed Budget that is being introduced and presented at the October 12, 2023 Board of Commissioners Working Session does not propose a tax increase or an increase in refuse or sewer fees. Property and business tax rates are proposed to remain the same. Below is the proposed budget schedule.


Cheltenham Township

Cheltenham Township’s evening workshops will take place October through November. The first meeting took place on Thursday, October 5. The next Public Budget Workshops are scheduled for Tuesday, October 10 and Wednesday, October 25.

The Board of Commissioners reviews and discusses a draft of the proposed Operating Budget and Capital Budget Requests at these workshops.
