Abington Senior High School’s 4×400 relay team was crowned District I champions over the weekend at Coatesville High School.
The team made up of Jamir McClinton, Luke Coleman, Keith Axten, Tyler Abraham finished the race with a winning time of 3:14.62. The foursome took first at the Penn Relays earlier this month.

In related news, Abington’s music department received several honors at the 2023 Music in the Parks Festival at Hershey Park on Friday.

On Friday, May 19, the music department of Abington Senior High School traveled to Hershey Park for the 2023 Music in the Parks Festival. The Symphonic Band took home third place in the concert band category with a rating of excellent, the Combined Choirs took home second place in the choir category with a rating of superior, and the Orchestra took home first place and best overall orchestra with a rating of superior. Senior Andrew Newman-Pinto received best overall student accompanist.
Additionally, the Abington music department received the Esprit de Corps Award which recognizes a group who displays an exemplary attitude of positive support and outstanding personal behavior throughout the festival day. We congratulate our student musicians!
