Abington, Abington Friends, Cheltenham, Upper Moreland, and Jenkintown schools will be closed on Thursday, Feb 6 due to the forecast.

Below are additional comments from each district:

Abington School District

“Please note that all activities originally scheduled for immediately after school are canceled,” superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Fecher wrote. “Evening permits for use of buildings and grounds will be re-evaluated tomorrow, and a communication will be sent in the afternoon with an update based on conditions.”

Abington Friends School

“All after-school programs, extracurricular activities and events are also canceled,” the school said in a post.

Cheltenham School District

“All before and after school activities are canceled. All school buildings will be closed. Administrative offices will open two hours late,” the district said in a post.

Upper Moreland School District

“Additionally, all after-school activities are canceled,” superintendent Dr. Sue Elliott said in a post.

Jenkintown School District

“Please be advised that any additional school closures this year will shift to virtual learning days,” the district said in a post.
