A business owned by Jenkintown resident awarded BeyGood grant by Beyonce and NAACP

Grant Blvd, a Philadelphia fashion line and store (3605 Lancaster Avenue) owned by Jenkintown resident and borough council member Kimberly McGlonn, was recently awarded a BeyGood grant by Beyonce and the NAACP. The grant is one of 715 provided thus far to black-owned small businesses.

On its’ website, Grant Blvd is described as follows:

As a truly sustainable, ethical brand, Grant Blvd works on behalf of what’s good for people & what’s good for our planet. How? By sourcing reclaimed fabrics, by manufacturing exclusively in Philadelphia, and by supporting incarcerated & returning citizens. Why? Because it’s time to recalibrate our systems. And our style.

The Philadelphia Inquirer profiled McGlonn and Grant Blvd on January 15th.
