The Borough of Jenkintown is looking to consider options for sewer services for its residents.
“Due to the pending sale of Cheltenham’s sewer system and all other factors considered,” according to a statement from the Borough of Jenkintown, “it was determined that a planning study would be a necessity and would provide important and valuable information that may affect the future of the Borough.”
“At the request of Borough Council,” continued the statement from the Borough of Jenkintown, “the Borough Engineer, Pennoni Associates, has investigated the feasibility of diverting the Borough’s sanitary sewer flow from the Cheltenham Township Sewer System to alternate means of conveyance and treatment.”
Options will be presented “at the next Public Works meeting on Wednesday, January 9th, [at] 7:30 PM at Borough hall,” according to the statement. “Pennoni Associates will perform a presentation of that study, outlining the alternatives identified within the evaluation.”
