The Hatboro Police Department announced today a fraud incident involving Jessica Babb, 34.

According to the report, police received information on July 24 about an individual who had issued numerous fraudulent checks. Following an investigation which included interviews and serving search warrants, detectives identified Babb as the individual responsible for passing four bad checks totaling $850,225.00.

An arrest warrant was secured and Babb turned herself in on Monday, September 28. She was released on $100,000.00 unsecured bail and a preliminary hearing is pending, police said.
