Revive Medical Weight Loss & Wellness in Jenkintown celebrates 2nd anniversary in business

Revive Medical Weight Loss & Wellness in Jenkintown celebrated its second year in business on August 16.

Owner Marie Pierre, a nurse practitioner and Jenkintown resident since 2021, told Glenside Local that the clinic has grown in terms of its processes and its technology.

“We now have a more robust post-discharge process. We’ve seen some patients lose the weight, but a year later, it came back. The goal is to keep it off,” she said. “We also upgraded our scanner to a clinical version that can predict over 20 diseases. That allows us to take on risk factors we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to recognize.”

Each patient—many of whom are hyperlocal—is followed on a weekly basis by Pierre and her staff for a period of 90 days.

“Prevention is really the backbone of our approach. We want to see people take on healthier lifestyles, so I feel privileged to be able to take care of our community. And they come back, which is a good thing,” she said. “We have a relationship.”

This August marks one year since Pierre lost 70 pounds herself (her “before and after” photos are shown above). She said she did it through the same program her patients follow.

“I’m glad I had the opportunity to go through it myself because I can better relate to the challenges and the struggles, as well the rewards that come with weight loss. I get it, and it’s hard. Once you really commit to the lifestyle change, it becomes easier to keep that weight off,” she said. “It takes a lot of discipline, especially in the summer.”
