Jermaine Martin, 47, of the 400 block of Easton Road in Willow Grove (Upper Moreland Township), admitted to sexually assaulting an underage girl on multiple occasions between 2022 and 2025, The Pottstown Mercury reported.

The girl was between the ages of 12 and 15 when Martin, who knew the girl’s family, sexually abused her.

Martin previously pleaded guilty to charges of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of a minor and trafficking in individuals, The Mercury said. He was sentenced to 20 to 50 years in prison followed by 13 years of probation as part of a plea agreement.

Martin also faces a lifetime requirement to report his address to state police in order to comply with the state’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act.

The investigation began in January 2025 when police received a tip that Martin had sexually assaulted a girl at various times over the course of three years. The victim “was between the ages of 12 and 15 during the incidents and Martin knew the girl’s family and had access to the girl”, The Mercury wrote.

The victim told officials that Martin gave her marijuana on numerous occasions before sexually assaulting her and that he also offered the girl between $100 and $150 for specific sex acts, The Mercury said.
