The La Salle College High School boys’ lacrosse team took home the PIAA AAA state championship on Saturday, June 13 at Penn State University.

The Explorers defeated Radnor High School 16-9 to claim their first state title since 2019. Radnor has five PIAA titles under its belt, including four straight from 2021 through 2024.

The Explorers previously won states in 2004, 2008, 2009, and 2013 and advanced to the title game with a 12-4 victory over Springfield-Delco in the state semifinals on Tuesday, June 9. They captured their 10th consecutive Philadelphia Catholic League and District 12 (City) Championships on May 21 with a 14-5 win over Saint Joseph’s Prep at Arcadia University.

The team went undefeated in the Philadelphia Catholic League and finished the regular season with a record of 18-3. The team’s only losses were against three of the best teams in the nation – The Lawrenceville School (No. 3), Malvern Prep (No. 4), and Saint John’s College High School in Washington, DC (No. 15).

14 players received All-Catholic recognition, six players were selected to the All-State Team, and four players were named USA All-Americans. More details can be found here.
