Members of Jefferson Abington’s staff received awards during the annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Service on February 24.
Cory James, former Patient Experience Coordinator at Jefferson Abington Hospital, received the Meg McGoldrick Champion of Diversity Employee Leadership Award for his efforts as the chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee in previous years.
The Community Health Champion Award was presented to the staff of Safe Harbor, a Willow Grove–based bereavement program supporting children and families through grief with compassion and care. Safe Harbor received a donation for its School Outreach Program from the Dickens and Suburban Auxiliaries of the Abington Health Foundation Women’s Board.
The service also honored Dr. Jean Fitzpatrick with the Courage to Make a Difference Award, recognizing her lifelong dedication to service, education, and community leadership.
