A new two-story, U-shaped Jarrettown Elementary School (Upper Dublin School District) will open for grades K-5 in September 2029, The Reporter said.
According to their coverage, the 84,000 sf school will be constructed at 1520 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, the site of the current Jarrettown Elementary, which will be used by students while the new version is being built.

The decision to demolish the 1950s-era building stems from its deteriorating conditions, including the HVAC and control systems and other logistical challenges.
In June 2025, Upper Dublin school officials announced plans for the new facility, which will cost $60 million and accommodate 600 students. Administration anticipates recommending bids in December, with construction to begin a year from now, The Reporter said.
The project will require tax increases for the next four years, estimated at 4 percent, 3.6 percent, 3.2 percent and 3.1 percent.
