Carson Valley Children’s Aid, located at 1419 Bethlehem Pike in Flourtown (Springfield Township), permanently shut down the last of its operations on Friday, October 3.
The nonprofit offered a residential behavioral treatment program and other services for children, a service program for families in crisis, and a nursery school and childcare center known as The Schoolhouse.
Over the summer, Philadelphia’s Public Health Management Corp. started the process of closing services offered by Carson Valley. From their website:
CVCA has had the distinct honor of providing behavioral health, prevention, child welfare and specialized education services to individuals, families and communities, in the greater Philadelphia region for decades. While the CVCA operations have ceased effective October 3, 2025, its mission lives on through an array of programs and services through Public Health Management Corporation and its other subsidiary programming.

The Schoolhouse closed in August and was featured by NBC10 in July. Within that report was an update on the possibility that The Schoolhouse could continue under new ownership and that the ownership of the property would consider leasing or buying the childcare center.
That opportunity is now available. The School House property, which is just shy of one acre, and its 16,600 sf building has been listed for sale for $2,450,000.
From the description:
