Joyful Start Family Support Joins Flourish Birth and Family Collective in Fort Washington

Joyful Start Family Support is thrilled to announce its new partnership with the Flourish Birth and Family Collective, located in Fort Washington, PA. Beginning August 1, 2025, Joyful Start—led by founder Kelly Kolb—will offer a wide range of services for expectant families, new parents, and individuals navigating perimenopause and menopause.

“I’m so excited to have found such a perfect home for Joyful Start’s classes and services,” says Kolb. “It’s incredibly helpful for clients to access a trusted team of practitioners, all under one roof.”

The Flourish Birth and Family Collective is led by Froza Doe, Pelvic Health Occupational Therapist and Owner of Flourish Pelvic Health & Wellness. The collective brings together holistic health and wellness providers with a shared mission: to support the community throughout pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, and pediatric care.

“The Flourish Birth and Family Collective is all about collaboration and connection,” says Doe. “We’re pleased to welcome Joyful Start’s postpartum doula support, menopause coaching, childbirth education, and inclusive educational classes to our space. Together, we’re working side by side to support our clients in achieving better health, greater support, and stronger ties to their community.”

Beginning in August, Kolb will be offering classes in childbirth education, newborn care and sleep, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, CPR training, and more.

As a postpartum doula, she supports parents during the key adjustment period after bringing home a new baby. Kolb states, “There’s so much change to a household in those first months postpartum and so many people feel overwhelmed and struggle with their healing, feeding, and sleep,”  She adds, “They can benefit physically and emotionally from a caring provider coming alongside them to help them heal, learn to feed and care for their little one, make sure the household is moving along smoothly, and make sure the adults are able to sleep, shower, eat, and thrive as new parents or as parents adding another child to a growing family. We were never meant to do this alone.”

“I’m really excited about the space Flourish will offer my menopause coaching clients,” says Kolb. We’ll have space to work together on goal setting and nutrition planning, and then can use the workout room for one-on-one or small group coaching through custom workouts and strength training designed to support their bodies to help them feel better and stay healthier as they move through the menopause transition. “There’s just such a gap of information and services to support and guide us through perimenopause and menopause,” Kolb states. “I love that clients will be able to come to Flourish for their coaching and also have access to so many other great providers who can help them improve their health and wellness in so many ways. We need to make great care easier and more accessible.”
