Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a fatal crash which occurred in Upper Moreland Township early Sunday morning, FOX29 reported.

The multiple-vehicle crash killed two drivers and occurred on the eastbound side at Mile Post #342 around 3:45am. Two others sustained injuries. 

According to officials, two vehicles were racing and lost control. A third vehicle subsequently struck one of the crashed vehicles.

As of 7:15am, vehicles were being diverted between Fort Washington eastbound to Willow Grove, NBC10 reported. As of about 8:30am, the lanes were reopened.
