iThrive, which has locations in Wyncote/Jenkintown, Ambler, and Malvern, was given mention by The Philadelphia Inquirer in an article discussing the growing demand for coworking spaces in the region.
According to their coverage, the business model’s growth is partially attributed to less overhead than a traditional lease. iThrive’s CEO and cofounder Karen Mellor told The Inquirer that her business’ smaller size “allows us to be hyper-focused on member experience, intentional about cultivating community, and responsive to the unique needs of each of our locations.”
“The Philly coworking scene is strong — and getting stronger,” Mellor said. “As more people choose to live and work in the suburbs, we’re meeting them where they are, creating workspaces that support their lifestyle and ambitions.”
iThrive began in 2019 under the name Ambler Yards, and the 145 Greenwood Avenue location, a retrofitted former foundry for metal castings and a livery for horses, opened in January 2023. You can read Glenside Local’s interview with Mellor here.
