Toddler found safe in Fox Chase following search that began on March 30

A two-year-old girl who was last seen at a park in the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia was found safe on Monday, March 31, 6ABC reported.

Police said the girl was frightened and cold, but unharmed following a search that began at sundown on Sunday when her mother and siblings noticed she had disappeared during a barbecue in Champions Park.

A young woman located the child in brush on a hillside roughly 400 yards from the park, police said.

“It was a good outcome and everybody is happy the girl has been found and reunited with her family,” said Capt. John Ryan of the Philadelphia Police Department. “There was a bunch of children there, too, and a lot of people in the park and just wandered away around 7:45 last night.”
