Al Tacos Locos, located at 408 York Road in Jenkintown, will host a grand opening on Saturday, February 8 at 12:00pm.

Owner Abdul Khan is operating the new eatery with his brother, Abul.

“We converted from sushi to Mexican tacos and hot chicken. We’re no longer serving sushi,” Khan told Glenside Local. “Our items are trending, so we combined them. In the future, we may add pizza.”

“Get ready to experience the most delicious Mexican Halal Grill, featuring mouth-watering chicken tacos, juicy grilled platters, and more!” ownership said in a post.

The new eatery is offering a 50% discount on all items on opening day.

408 York Road was previously the home of Oishi Sushi, an Asian fusion restaurant which opened in July 2023. In November, ownership informed Jenkintown Borough of plans to expand their menu. In December, the restaurant temporarily closed for renovations.
