The Upper Moreland Township Fire Department, Rockledge Fire Company, Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro and Bryn Athyn Fire Company assisted Southampton Fire Company No. 1 on Thursday, October 17 with a house fire at the 1400 block of Street Road in Southampton.
According to officials, the fire was located in the home’s third floor. Bystanders removed the property’s owner from the premises.
“After attempting an initial interior attack, the building was evacuated and operations were moved to an exterior attack,” Southampton Fire Company No. 1 said in a post. “Companies were in-service for approximately 5 hours conducting overhaul and mop up operations.”
