Follow-up documentary about Lynnewood Hall of Elkins Park has been released

A follow-up documentary about Lynnewood Hall of Elkins Park was released by Bros of Decay on Sunday, September 8.

Their first documentary, titled “Greatest Abandoned Gilded-Age Mansion in USA ~ Save Lynnewood Hall!“, premiered in 2022. Lynnewood Hall Preservation Foundation Inc. purchased the property in June 2023 and has since initiated cleanup and renovation efforts.

“We immediately planned to make a second part to document the progress and future restoration plans, delving deeper into the Preservation Foundation’s growth and history,” Bros of Decay said. “We’ll explore areas never before seen or documented, rooms that have already been worked on, and go more in-depth on the technological innovations that made Lynnewood Hall such a marvel of its time.”

Edward Thome, LHPF’s executive director, is featured in the two-hour-plus film alongside Angie Van Scyoc (Chief Director), Tyler E. Schumacher (Facilities Site Manager), Peter Oyloe (Vice Chair), and Peter R. Widener (Chairman). The follow-up documents the site’s origins, key players, as well as LHPF’s mission and vision.
