O’Neill’s Food Market in Glenside will host its annual Watermelon Eating Contest on Saturday, July 27 beginning at 11:00am.

The contest is free to enter for all ages and gift certificates to Glenside businesses will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners in each age group. All participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt.

“We can’t wait for our Watermelon Eating Contest tomorrow morning!” O’Neill’s said in a post. “All ages are welcome to compete to see who can eat a large slice of watermelon fastest! Participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt along with giveaways from our generous vendors, and prizes for the top 2 winners in each age group to some of our favorite local businesses! It’s going to be a beautiful day and will be fun for everyone. We can’t wait to see you there!”
