On January 12, 1978, the 1978 senior Cheltenham High School cheerleading team was invited on the Philadelphia-based “Mike Douglas Show” to do a cheer for 1964 Cheltenham High graduate and future Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie “Mr. October” Jackson. 

Other guests on the show were actor Jack Riley, pro golfer Jan Stephenson, musical group The New Seekers, and a women’s body-building titleholder. The New Seekers performed “Look What They’ve Done to My Song Ma.”
