SEPTA recently announced that a 24-hour Jack-and-Bore Operation to install a detention basin is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 8 as part of the Jenkintown Stream and Restoration Project.
Crews will be working 24/7 until January 29 at the 200 block of Runnymede Avenue in Jenkintown, a site that has been a source of tension since the project was first announced.
The purpose of the project is to control overflow from Baeder Run and reduce impacts to SEPTA assets at the Jenkintown-Wyncote Station.
