Cheltenham Township has received a proposal for a new bubble tea restaurant at H Mart in Elkins Park.

According to Cheltenham Planning and Zoning Director Henry Sekawungu, the proposal received a recommendation for approval from the Planning Commission and is going through the sewer review now.

The owners will present to the Township’s Building and Zoning Committee on January 2 before proceeding to the Zoning Hearing Board on January 8.

“It’s an existing vacant retail space at H-Mart that is being taken over by a new tenant. These types of turnovers happen regularly at H-Mart,” Sekawungu said.

Tsaocaa (Tsao Cha) bubble tea already exists at 7320 Old York Road, Suite 107.
